I agree with Vishnu about the secondary type being less textured, however I think it would still need a little bit of something. Maybe if you make the texture much more subtle it would read more clearly and still be interesting. I just feel like straight black would be a little harsh.
I actually really like the texture of "The Adventures of.." and don't find it hard to read. I'm not sure how I feel about the cropping of the pink squares for the placement of the type though.
I really like the way you've resolved the info text, it's subtle, but definitely accessible.
"The Adventures" type is adding too much visual noise to the title for me. I like the Priscilla text because it's nice and thick with feminine curves and chunky serifs. My recommendation would be to go for a less busy treatment for your "Adventures" type.
