  1. There are a lot of different visual styles going on here, so I'm going to respond to what is working first.

Good use of shape and color (black) to represent your pictograms. Very graphic and readable.

I really like the slight angle you've used on your computer, and think you can carry this throughout. It gives depth and visual interest.

I'd add some more detail, even if it's just the computer screen and a very, very simplified keyboard so that this reads even better. A mouse might help as well.

I like the headphones best for your music. You're primarily using objects for representation, so reinforce that trend.

For facebook, the idea of connection is the principle one. Can the people/globe be simplified?

Once you have a clear visual direction, apply it to ALL pictograms in your set.

  2. The alignment of a few of the pictograms is a little shaky making it hard for me to concentrate on the whole form. (remember that the alignment tool in illustrator is your friend!)

They're starting to relate to one another with the even treatment of black as Ryan mentioned, but how can you make these more visually interesting? Is there some kind of visual toolkit you can build for yourself like a consistent stroke weight or treatment can you do to all of them to bring more of your voice to these pictograms?
